David Silva, a former Man City player, was punished for assaulting a woman during a fight in Spain.
A Spanish court has determined that former Spain and Manchester City footballer David Silva is responsible for injuring a lady during a fight.
The incident reportedly took place on June 19 at the Canary Islands' Carnaval festival, when a fight broke out between a group of people and Silva and his companions, according to court documents seen by the Associated Press on Thursday.
The victim was violently grabbed by Silva, the court heard, who then pulled her away while "causing her to fall."
She needed medical attention for back discomfort, bruising, and abrasions to her knees and elbows.
For injuring the woman, the court fined Silva €1,080 ($1,066).
Additionally, two more people were determined to have committed bodily damage.
